Karsten is currently completing his Ph.D. at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. He studied marketing in the MBA program at the University of Florida and received his graduate degree of a Diplom-Kaufmann (equivalent to an MBA) at the University of Mannheim in Germany. Karsten worked several years as a consultant for Simon-Kucher & Partners. He has contributed to a wide range of anthologies on brand strategy, audio branding, multi-sensory communication, and experiential marketing. In the last five years, Karsten has built up Markenlexikon.com which has become the most-respected website on brand management in the German-speaking world.
